Zachary Brown focuses his practice on employment litigation and negotiation, commercial litigation, and business advisory matters.


Prior to joining Grant Konvalinka Harrison, Zach practiced employment law in Nashville where he negotiated severance and nondisclosure agreements, drafted prelitigation demands, and advocated for his clients throughout litigation processes.


On the commercial side, has experience navigating complex construction and business litigation, advising small businesses and nonprofits, and drafting contracts. As a legislative attorney for the Tennessee General Assembly, Zach drafted legislation on employment, data privacy, insurance, and healthcare. He’s also worked on policies and procedures, contracts, and government affairs for the Tennessee Education Lottery. Zach’s varied experience gives him the necessary perspective to successfully advocate for clients in different fields and situations.


Zach graduated summa cum laude from Samford University with a degree in history. After college, Zach served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Panjakent, Tajikistan. After returning to Nashville, he worked in software before attending Belmont University College of Law where he was the Executive Articles Editor for the Belmont Law Review.


Zach lives in west Nashville with his wife, who is a professional seamstress, and their horrible cats. Outside of work, he enjoys card games, coffee, and horror movies.
