COVID-19 ACTUALIZACIONES

Si Usted tiene una entrevista o cita para tomarle las huellas dactilares y fotografía programada en el periodo de tiempo citado, Usted recibirá una notificación por correo con una nueva fecha para su cita.


Todas las ceremonias de Naturalización han sido también canceladas. Si Usted tiene su Ceremonia de Juramento entre el 18 de marzo y el 1º de abril, Usted recibirá una notificación con una nueva fecha para su Ceremonia de Juramento.



USCIS todavía está procesando solicitudes. Si tiene una solicitud con una fecha límite pendiente, aún debe cumplir con esa fecha límite. USCIS ha renunciado al requisito de firmas originales. Esto significa que un documento puede escanearse, enviarse por fax, fotocopiarse o reproducirse de manera similar, siempre que la copia sea de un documento original que contenga una firma manuscrita original. Los solicitantes y abogados deben conservar la página original con la "tinta húmeda" por si acaso.


ICE

Todas las personas que tengan que reportarse con ICE deberán hacerlo por teléfono. ICE está solicitando a las personas que se reporten por teléfono entre las 9:00 am y las 12:00 pm en los días miércoles. El número telefónico para reportarse es (423) 553-1716 (Chattanooga). Un oficial registrará sus llamadas y les dará una nueva fecha para registrarse.


Corte de Inmigración

La Corte de Inmigración de Memphis estará cerrada hasta el día 10 de abril. La Corte está trabajando para contactar a las personas con fechas de Corte dentro de los siguientes días. Nuevas notificaciones serán enviadas por correo. A lo largo de la Nación solo los casos con personas detenidas se están procesando. Congratulations to Brittany T. Faith on her recognition as a Volunteer 40 Under 40 recognizes forty alumni under the age of 40 who have excelled personally and professionally since completing their degree at UT Knoxville. Brittany Faith is a nationally recognized immigration attorney who has committed herself to service. At UT’s College of Law she was heavily involved in community service and leadership roles, including serving as director of UT Law’s Pro Bono program; treasurer of Law Women, American Bar Association (ABA) representative for the Student Bar Association; American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Midsouth law school liaison, and creator/founder of UT Law’s U Visa Alternative Spring Break. Faith currently serves as the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division president, one of only 21 elected directors across the country to the AILA Board of Governors, and the Fit2Practice director for the ABA Young Lawyers Division Council. In addition, she regularly donates her time to pro bono and low bono immigration work, which is an area of law with a lack of resources due to federal funding limitations.
