All USCIS Field Offices and ASC offices are temporarily closed until at least April 1, 2020. If you have an interview or biometrics appointment scheduled in this timeframe, you will receive a notification in the mail with a new appointment. All Naturalization ceremonies are also cancelled. If you were scheduled for an Oath Ceremony between March 18 and April 1, you will receive a notification with a new appointment.
USCIS is still processing applications. If you have an application with a pending deadline, you still need to abide by that deadline. USCIS has waived the requirement that for original signatures. This means that a document may be scanned, faxed, photocopied, or similarly reproduced provided that the copy must be of an original document containing an original handwritten signature. Applicants and attorneys should retain the original page with the “wet ink” just in case.
