Tonya Cammon focuses her practice on employment and commercial litigation, as well as health law transactions and litigation.  Having a medical background allows Ms. Cammon to provide her health care clients the legal representation shaped by her clinical knowledge.  She provides defense of medical malpractice suits, in addition to guiding clients through the maze of state and federal regulations which affect every medical provider.  She is a member of numerous health law organizations, including the Health Care Compliance Association of America.  She also represents both employers and employees before state and federal agencies on employment-related matters, and she has an active employment litigation practice.  Ms. Cammon is a Rule 31 civil mediator, and she has extensive experience as both a mediator and as an advocate for her clients in mediation of medical, employment and other civil disputes.  Prior to entry into private practice, Ms. Cammon served as law clerk to the late Honorable Armis Hawkins, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Mississippi.

Ms. Cammon serves as President of the Chattanooga Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and she is a former member of the Chattanooga Bar Association's Board of Governors.  Ms. Cammon has received numerous awards for her work with the Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations, and she is a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Association's YLD.  Ms. Cammon served on the Chattanooga Human Rights/Human Relations Commission, and she is a former President and Board Member of the Southeast Tennessee Lawyers' Association for Women.  She served as Chair of the Southeast Development District's Advisory Council for the Tennessee Economic Council on Women, and she is a member of the Public Education Committee for the Tennessee Bar Association.  She was a member of the Advisory Committee for the establishment of Tennessee's program, AMC3, an appellate collegiate moot court competition.

An active community leader, Ms. Cammon serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Memorial Health Care Foundation.  She is a former Board Member and President of the AIM Center, a non-profit organization which assists with community reintegration, jobs and education for adults with mental illnesses.  She has worked with many other non-profit organizations, many related to health, the arts, and animal rights.  She is married to Barry Cammon, and they live on Lookout Mountain.  Ms. Cammon is a classically-trained pianist, and she enjoys reading, cooking, sports and traveling.
