Richard Pearce attended The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. While attending Cumberland School of Law, he was an Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and obtained his Masters in Business Administration.
Mr. Pearce has an extensive general representation practice, representing many physicians, medical practices and other medium and small businesses in formation and finance, mergers and acquisitions, employment issues, litigation, property transactions and regulatory compliance. Mr. Pearce also represents many clients before the Internal Revenue Service in defense of audits and collections, as well as in Tax Court and Federal Court. In addition, over the past seven years, Mr. Pearce has participated in white collar criminal defense cases, extensive commercial and class action litigation, and state and federal appellate practice.
